today,
Day One of The Great 4 Day Weekend, i was lazy. but i have given up thinking that laziness is a bad thing, and have chosen to embrace it... especially when its -12 outside.
twas also the last day of the Sapporo Snow Festival and so i went downtown to
すすきの and had a last minute shuffle around the ice statues before they tear them down tomorrow.
i particularly love this sculpture of a korean temple, but with a whole bunch of giant real life fish inside it.

it made me hungry. so we ate some crab from the Giant Crab Building (i am sure the building has a real name, but whatevs.)

Hokkaido crab is famous. For being delicious.

also, the crab on the building moves ... like something from a spiderman movie.

-12! Yikes!
the ice sculpture with live fish in it is soooo cool! i never seen anything like that and i wanna see how the crab moves....tape it!
but I love the photos!
Poor fishies!
It is one of my life time goals to eat a proper crab. Not crab sticks like SA uses as a substitute.
arent the fishies cold?
whoaaaa the fish in the ice sculpture are real??!?! awesome! and a giant moving crab on a building? SOLD! i'm buying a plan ticket to japan right now.
Whoa at that giant crab building, it looks so cool ... another reason why I <3 Japan is that they're not afraid of sticking funny things on their buildings haha.
And I'm definitely down for some mail exchange, long overdue but that's no matter :) Just let me know if your address is still the same (I know you sent me your address a few months ago, but I just wanted to check) and we can make sure to send it out the same week, yipee!
SARAH!! I have a new post and I MIGHT BE ABLE TO GO TO JAPAN THIS YEAR! *but you're leaving right??* GAACKK.
I wanna see snow sculptures with fish frozen inside. And see a huge crab on a building and eat their food. Wahh...
