Well, on Thursdays, I have my Japanese lesson after work and the corner shop near the building where my lesson is held, always has the newest and bestest KitKats. And I take it upon myself to try each and every flavour.

Last week Thursday, I picked this up - Rose flavour. It was pretty tasty. Although since I have never actually eaten a Rose, I cannot tell you whether the flavour is in any way accurate.
When I was young, I would eat anything - dog biscuits, bird feathers ... strangely enough, never ate a Rose.
Yesterday - picked this beauty up -
Lemon Vinegar.
Hmmmmm.
Tastes like Lemon. And Vinegar.
But in a good way! I like sweet and salty mixed together (popcorn and m&ms!!) and i guess sweet and sour won`t kill anyone!
ALthough, who in the world picked this for a KitKat flavour?!

lemon vinegar??????? for a chocolate bar? japanese ppl come up with the craziest things... but they're always so good! hehe... i tried rose tea before, it taste exactly like what you'd imagine a rose would taste.
yummmmy. I want to try these NOW!
send some over to me! LOL!
I wish we had this in Korea, but alas, we don't!
ALSO. Popcorn and M&M's are the best. Wanna know what is even better?! Rolos and Popcorn- then you get the chocolate/caramel combo with the popcorn. And if the popcorn is hot, it'll melt it a bit. It's delicious!
It's Teacher's Day here in Korea, do you guys have that in Japan? I can't even tell you how many AWESOME expensive gifts I've gotten. I'm going to blog about it later :)
ok im a fan of popcorn and m and ms and i totally love chocolate and salt and vinegar chips.... mm...
but lemon and vinegar AND chocolate? ill have to take your word on it!!
But rose would be nice... i love Rose and Lychee cupcakes so im gonna guess add a kitkat to that and i would be pretty good!!
i will mail anybody who wants one, a bag of random kitkats!
seriously
i love mail!
except, not you RAY. you with your `Teachers Day` nonsense :p how many gifts do you want? HUH huh HUH?
You should start a "Teacher's Day" in Japan.
It's a great idea!
Don't hate me. I didn't hate you with all your 5 day weekends a few weeks ago, now did I?
We hardly get time off. Only 10 days a year.
Ha ha!!! I'm just bitter, ray! ;) I would never hate on you!
seriously sarah?? you would mail them? I would like to take up on that offer!
i told my friends about these kitkats and they wanted to try some too... ;p
oh! oh! me! me!! i want random kit kats!!!!!!!!!! pretttttttty please :)
when Nestle wanted to expand their range of kitkat bars in South Africa they introduced kitkat chunky.
Just a regular kitkat but bigger.
i wish they had an ounce of creativity.
That's quite a cornucopia of kitkat flavours. Malaysia and Cambodia are pretty big on their range of kitkats too, wish the Vietnamese would catch on. BTW: I've eaten a rose before and I'd rather eat a kitkat flavour rose anyday.
i sooo want to go back to Japan now just to try those! Or better yet, next time my dad does his trip to Japan, which happens every couple of months...i shall ask for some random kit kat flavours!
Those are awesome
Rose flavored chocolate. YES!
Oh gosh... eating a rose??!! and vinegar with lemon?! Yuk!!!!!! That must have been excruciating!!
haha wow-- NEVER would have thought of lemon vinegar. Crazy!!
I absolutely love your blog. You have such an interesting life! Can't wait to read more!
KitKats just keep on getting cooler and cooler!! Keep up the good work with finding the newest-coolities in the field of flavours!!
sheeeez Sarah Jane soon you'll be as popular as Perez Hilton :)
I promise that as soon as I get back to Joburg and get a proper job I'll start saving for trip to Japan in April next year. YOSH!!!!
Wow, that sounds disgusting to be honest
Have you come across Green Tea Kitkat? It's yummy, I promise you.
Yum!! Those both sound like really good flavors. I miss Japanese candy so much, they are so creative!!
melissa- yes yes! green tea! but i cant find them anymore :(
I am travelling to Japan in August.I will be there for 23 days.Is Hokkaido worth visiting?
oooh hokkaido! well, it depends what you`re coming to japan for! because obviously, the places to go are tokyo and kyoto and nara for good old fashioned japanese madness.
hokkaido is mainly known for winter sports and festivals, but in summer, we have beer festivals and big group street dancing festivals too. and the food in hokkaido is AMAZING. tokyo is famous for its foreign food places, but just between you and me, its japanese food is overpriced and not that good. hokkaido on the other hand has the best japanese cuisine in the whole country!
i think the different parts of japan are all so unique. i love sapporo - wouldnt really live any where else in japan... tokyo is too busy and hot for me and i dont really like osaka..
i think its worthwhile travelling around just to see all japan has to offer
thank you Sarah!!!I am travelling to Japan beacause I really like japanese food. And I want to learn more about their culture.
I am planning on visiting Tokyo,Osaka,Nara,Hiroshima,Nagazaki,Kobe(?),Kyoto,
and maybe going to either South Korea or Hokkaido.
You can find cheap tickets to go to South Korea on a ferry. And it´s only two and a half hours from Fukuoka.
So I don´t know what to do.It´s tempting to be so close to Korea and not go there.
That is so awesome! I love trying new things...especially candy! Rose-flavored KitKats? I've never eaten a rose, but that sounds delicious, haha!
